ZUSAMMEN THEATRE PROJECT

zusammen (tsu-zah-men) a german word meaning “together” or “jointly”

  • Who are we?

Zusammen Theatre Project is an emerging non-profit acting ensemble, based in New York City, focusing on creating original theater pieces with an ongoing ensemble, outside the world of immediate commercialism.  We launched in 2024 and are dedicated to creating immersive and innovative theatrical experiences.

  • Our Work:

Our first production, ROOM 204 sold out in just 5 hours, following a feature in TimeOut Magazine. After our triumphant sell out, we opened up a second night of performances, selling that out mere days after the release, making it one of the hottest tickets of the fall 2025 season, with a total of 16 performances and roughly 176 total audience members,

Room 204 was staged at the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village, courtesy of their donation of their largest hotel room, room 204, two nights a week for 9 weeks for our production.

  • Our Mission:

As a female-led, gender equality driven company, our mission is to stage plays using atypical and site-specific locations in donated non-theater spaces, collaborating with small businesses in diverse New York communities. Through intimate theater productions, everyone gets a front row seat, with experiences that defy Broadway’s inaccessibility and bring independent theater to new audiences and new audiences to small businesses.

As producers, liberators, and educators, Zusammen is inviting communities into a new kind of play-going experience —one where they are fully immersed in the world of the performance. By transforming atypical spaces into their living stages, the goal is to bring theater into the community and make storytelling more accessible and intimate through performance.
